The construction, occupation and disposal of buildings is a significant cause of environmental damage in the UK. White Design is committed to aiding and supporting clients in making a positive contribution to sustainability by jointly developing consultancy services and the design of low energy, low environmental impact buildings and landscapes that create a healthy and efficient working environment for their stakeholders and employees and minimise the life cycle costs of policies and facility ownership and occupation.
We will, where appropriate and agreed:
Work with our clients to produce environmentally sound project, building and landscape specifications that meet or exceed client requirements both in terms of environmental and social performance and cost, and have full regard to life cycle costs and benefits .
In both the design and construction of masterplans, buildings and landscape be sensitive to the local environment and its human and other inhabitants in the siting of facilities, their appearance and use of materials, and, during construction, the site management practice.
Keep up to date with the latest environmental, social, economic and technical policies and developments to facilitate the incorporation of innovations that are both state of the art and practical, combining existing and new techniques to match project needs.
Support and advise clients on best environmental, social, economic and technical practice in the briefing, design, procurement, construction, fitting out, occupation, facilities management, building performance and ultimately, re- use, recycling or disposal of buildings and landscape features.
Conduct our own consultancy to accord with sound practice in sustainable development and in accordance of our ISO 14001 certified system.
