introduction to landscape architecture

With our quest for the most sustainable design solutions, it was a natural progression for White Design to implement the diverse skills offered by landscape architecture. Alongside architecture, these two design disciplines work together, allowing the built form and its environs to influence and respond to each other creatively, resulting in truly holistic projects that offer a higher degree of sustainability. This approach delivers integrated solutions for clients and the end users.

The design of the landscape provides a means to mitigate and adapt to climate change. This can be approached through helping others reduce their carbon footprints by improving transport facilities and networks; improving health through attractive outdoor leisure opportunities; maximising local food production and promoting localised self sufficiency and general environmental awareness.
