introduction to landscape

With our quest for the most sustainable design solutions, it has been a natural progression for White Design to implement the diverse skills offered by Landscape Architecture. With these two design disciplines working together, the built form and its environs influence and respond to each other creatively, resulting in truly holistic projects that offer a higher degree of sustainability.

The design of the landscape provides a means to mitigate and adapt to climate change. This can be approached through helping others reduce their carbon footprints by improving transport facilities and networks; improving health through attractive outdoor leisure opportunities; maximising local food production and promoting localised self sufficiency and general environmental awareness.
