A new structure for White Design's business development team sees 8 “sector champions” taking on a leadership and entrepreneurial role in 2011. As the practice has diversified over the years from a small team offering architectural services alone to one that offers architecture, landscape, consultancy and research as an integrated, interdisciplinary package, a sector-based approach is now more appropriate for the breadth of our portfolio. Each of the sectors - landscape, housing, education, commercial, community, consultancy, masterplanning and rehab (our approach to maximising opportunities in existing buildings) - has a dedicated champion with specialist knowledge in the field, who will be the main client contact.

Linda Farrow, founding director of White Design, explains:
